Objectives of Sierra Leone PEN
1. To bring together published and unpublished Sierra Leonean writers as well as those interested in supporting creative writing
2. To encourage and promote the production of suitable materials for publication
3. To organise conferences, workshops and seminars for training in writing skills and techniques of preparation of materials for publishing
4. To set up a Publishing House to promote writers and their works and collaborate with supportive organizations outside Sierra Leone for the attainment of our goals.
5. To recognise and award excellence in the profession
6. To advocate for free expression whilst opposing such evils of a free press as mendacious publication, deliberate falsehood and distortion of facts for political and personal ends.
